WordPress has updated its Core blogging software to 4.5.3. This is both a maintenance and security release for all previous versions, and users are strongly encouraged to update right away.
WordPress 4.5.2 both created and inherited several bugs and issues: XSS problems, a problem with redirect bypass, and problems with revision history amongst others.
WordPress praised users for reporting bugs in a responsible fashion in a blogpost explaining the updated. WordPress 4.5.2 fixes 17 bugs, some of which have lingered since version 4.5.
To update WordPress to 4.5.3, head over to
Dashboard Update and click "Update Now"
Websites that have automatic updates enabled will begin to see the update rollout today.
