WordPress has dropped an update to 4.5 and is available immediately in an attempt to address a dozen issues that become obvious after the core service was updated. WordPress 4.5.1 has already been pushed to sites configured with auto updates, but if you want it sooner rather than later, just head over to Dashboard > Updates and click the Update Now button.

According to software engineer Adam Silverstein, “a singular class issue that broke sites based on the Twenty Eleven theme, an incompatibility between certain Chrome versions and the visual editor, and an Imagick bug that could break media uploads.” This bug is apparently one of many that are fixed with the update to 4.5.1 and the list of changes can be viewed here.
