Using frozen coffee in ice cubes for your iced coffee isn’t a new idea, but Starbucks has decided they want in on the Coffee Cube movement, and they’re selling them from just shy of a dollar.  It’s a nice idea, but sure is expensive.  Here’s how to make your own Coffee Ice Cubes

  • Make it Sweeter: If you prefer your brew on the sweet side, mix in some brown sugar, simple syrup or even a bit of chocolate syrup into each cube
  • Make it Stronger: Instead of using cold drip coffee, you can use espresso for an ever bigger kick of caffeine.
  • Make it Creamy: If you’re into keeping that balance in your cup, add some cream, or milk into each cube of coffee before freezing.  They will melt as a nice mix of coffee and cream
