Safari 11 out now for macOS Sierra and OS X El Capitan


Apple has dropped the latest update for it’s Safari web browser, Safari 11, today, alongside updates to iOS 11watchOS 4tvOS 11, and more.

Coming just ahead of next week’s anticipated release of macOS High Sierra, Apple has made Safari 11 available to any users currently on Sierra or El Capitan.  Safari 11 brings a host of updates to the browser, including security improvements, privacy improvements and more.
Some of the most anticipated new features include:
  • The ability to configure Reader
  • Stop autoplaying media on most websites
  • New content blockers, page zoom, and auto-play settings
  • Improves AutoFill
  • Includes media controls
  • Enhances performance and efficiency
