The virtual reality headset Playstation VR will launch this October for 399$. It will cost €399 in Europe , £349 in the U.K and 44,980 yen in Japan.

The president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Andrew House revealed the retail version. He promised no more than 18 ms latency. The purchase includes a Playroom VR, in-ear headphones, and a processing unit. The unit needs to be plugged into the PS4 for the VR to function. Remember the Playstation Camera? I don’t; it never really caught on. But you’ll need to buy one separately for playing PS VR Games. They’re available on Amazon for less than 50$.

The CEO said there are over 230 developers working on virtual reality projects for PS VR, fifty of which will come out before the end of 2016. In addition to this, he announced a version of Star Wars: Battlefront in existence for their new hardware.
