PUBG Corp., the company behind PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is now taking legal action against mobile clones of its hit battle royale game.

Chinese gaming giant NetEase, which has published two games—Rules of Survival and Knives Out, have been singled out for plagiarizing elements from PUBG. PUBG Corp. is taking exception to NetEase’s usage of “chicken”-related marking and gameplay similarities found in the buildings, landscapes, vehicles, weapons, clothing, pre-play area and shrinking gameplay area. Additionally, Rules of Survival and Knives Out gameplay videos labeled “PUBG” found on YouTube are included in the lawsuit for potentially misleading viewers.
