Coinciding with news of Google Lens, which gives your camera the ability to identify objects, restaurants, etc., Google has also announced that it is rolling out a method for users to remove unwanted objects from photos.

Similar to Photoshop’s “content aware” and “healing brush” functions, the GIF released by the tech company shows a relatable application of the new function — a chain link fence being completely removed from a photo in which it obstructs the view of the batter. Certainly a cheaper alternative to Photoshop and complementary to the mobile market, this new rollout from Google will undoubtedly have an instant impact on a multitude of people’s photography game.
