In the ongoing AIDS vs. breast cancer rumble, the team supporting Breast Cancer research has really kicked the game into high-gear, with this pink Nissan Micra. Nissan created exactly 275 of these uniquely-hued convertibles for the U.K. market, but only one will feature the highly-coveted BAR8IE license plate. The car itself is priced at a modest $30,000 but the one paired with the unique license plate costs a lot more – a crazy $70,000
It’s a great ploy, as $480 from the purchase of each car will go to Breakthrough Breast Cancer, as well as an undisclosed amount for the lucky doll who picks up the BAR8IE plate. It’s a tough act to follow for Product Red, headed by singer/activist Bono, especially since red is as common a color for cars as pink is for cell phones. No word yet on if Pink is the new orange is the new black.
