Google has announced that it has acquired crazy robot-makers Boston Dynamics.  Google Bots!  Go!

While there is no word on how much Google paid for the robotics firm, Google did say that it has no intention of become another military contractor.  Boston Dynamics had been working closely with the Pentagon to develop battlefield-read bots, and all existing military contracts will be continues.

What is coming next from Google’s newest purchase?

Its not just Boston Dynamics.  Google has acquired seven other robots companies in the past six months.

Andy Rubin, formally head of Android, of all things, heads the Boston Dynamics team.  Rubin has remained silent about a project code-named ‘MoonShot’.
