Although the majority of devices advertised have yet to actually hit the market, the VR Headset marketplace is already becoming crowded.  First came Oculus, then the Gear VR, then the Vive and on and on, and now a company on kickstarter is claiming to up the game in a big way.  The Fove headset will reportedly feature eye-tracking tech in order to create an experience out of this world.

Fove will offer a 2,560 x 1,400 pixel 5.8 inch screen, running at 60fps, giving you a 100+ degree field of view.

The eye-tracking will supposedly enhance gaming, letting you aim at bad guys, just by shifting your focus.  This is done by incorporating a series of infrared sensors into the headset.

“These sensors bounce light off the retina to register how the eyes are angled…Our unique algorithms can calculate the parallax between the eyes to track and measure depth-of-field focus.”
