The new trending feature will be a banner on mobile sites that sit on top of your newsfeed, displaying information from friends and foe (and strangers) alike. If you click it, you’ll get to see how your friends are reacting to it, and how total strangers are reacting. In real time!
The feature will begin by rolling out slowly, first to a select few US users and only via mobile. It’s another step Facebook is taking to open up its own closed little universe.
