GPS systems of the future are almost here, and the Bushnell Onix 400 is a great example of what we could soon see: the handheld unit have more gadgets-per-inch than any other system.  It’s mostly an XM satellite radio receiver, but with its GPS locator it can also help you navigate either urban or rural areas.  And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Since the Onix 400 always knows where you are, it can also get you extremely localized real-time satellite weather, showing you the weather and what it will be right where you are.

It has a 3.5-inch 320×240 screen can show you what song is playing on the XM satellite radio, display real-time weather, a doppler radar feed, aerial photos, topographical maps, and more

The Bushnell ONIX 400 is a great example of what to expect in the next generation of GPS devices: as data become more personalized and maps are more accurate.  The Onix 400 will drop this summer, and should start around $500 USD
