Apple has dropped what appears to be a minor update to its mobile version of GarageBand. Version 2.3.6 dropped today, and the update notes included some interesting changes including the addition of ‘Touch Instruments’
GarageBand is Apple’s foray into making music on Computers, and GarageBand for iOS has come a surprisingly long way in a short amount of time. Version 2.3 definitely stepped up the mobile music making game, and 2.3.6 seemed set to continue that trend. Included in the update was the long-awaited support for MIDI files – something that has long been on Mac, but took until now to find it’s way to iOS.
The update also includes a collection of what Apple calls “Touch Instruments” and more drum loops.
The update is free and it’s available in the App Store now.
