Apple releases updated iOS 10.1.1 for iPhone and iPad

Having been originally dropped a few weeks back, Apple has updated and re-released iOS 10.1.1 today.  Although no changes have been noted in the changelog, the ‘new’ update brings the build up from 14B150 to 14B100.

In updates past, Apple has pushed out small build number changes, but these are most often related to server-side issues for Apple, so updates over the air are usually not expected.  If you currently have iOS 10.1.1 you likely won’t need to download and update.

The first iteration of 10.1.1 included a fix for bugs in the Health App and iOS 10.1 brought portrait mode to the iPhone 7 Plus.  iOS 10.2 is currently in beta and includes Apple’s upcoming TV app.
