Apple Pushes Digital Camera RAW 6.18 Update for El Capitan

Apple Digital Camera Raw Update

As announced earlier, Apple has released a new maintenance update for its Digital Camera Raw software. The new version 6.18 is for the latest version of OsX 10.11.12 El Capitan, and includes goodies and support for new cameras.

As it usually is, Apples announcement was RAW was brief, simply informing us that 6.18 includes RAW image compatibility for seven new cameras; three canon, two sony, and one Lecia and Olympus each.

The newly supported cameras are

Canon EOS M10,
Canon PowerShot G5 X,
Canon PowerShot G9 X,
Leica SL (Typ 601),
Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II,
Sony Alpha ILCE-7S II, and
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX1R II.

If you are using the latest version of OS X (10.11 El Capitan) you can update Digital Camera RAW compatibility version 6.18 via the Mac App Store.
To update, open The Mac App Store, go to the updates tab and wait for the list to updates to refresh.
Once it does click the update button in front of the ‘Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 6.18’ to download and update your software
