Apple is believed to be working on touchless gesture screens that curve to differentiate its flagship handsets from all the other smartphones on the market. According to various sources, the touchless feature for the iPhone is described as a hover-like gesture system “by moving their finger close to the screen without actually tapping it.”

The technology is rumored to be two years away from debuting if Apple decides to utilize it, which is set “to be closer to the screen than with Project Soli,” Google‘s sensing tech. The tech will be implanted inside the iPhone bezel instead of the display, similar to Samsung‘s Air Gestures. The curved iPhone display has been reported numerous times as its been in development and is now expected to be around two or three years away from implementation.
