Apple drops first macOS security update for 2019


Apple has unexpectedly dropped a security release for macOS Sierra, and High Sierra with several bug, privacy and security fixes.  And it’s a lengthy list.

Among the patches include a fix for a BlueTooth vulnerability, a security problem in FaceTime which allowed remote callers to initiate a FaceTime call and execute code, and an IOKit bug that would “A malicious application may be able to break out of its sandbox”.

The list is long, wordy and can be found fully here.  Download the security update for macOS Sierra, High Sierra and an additional update to MacOS Mojave 10.14.3 can be found in the App Store now.
